I have substantial experience working with complex academic writing, including the detailed editorial refinement of a full doctoral thesis in sustainable urban design, which was successfully awarded a PhD.
My wider background in communications, policy-facing work and teaching English as a foreign language helps me look beyond grammar alone — at whether an argument is clear, logically developed and readily understood by its intended academic audience.
For writers working in English as a second or additional language, I can also help identify wording that may be technically correct but does not sound natural or convey precisely what you intend.
